The South African Flameproof Association (SAFA) is excited to announce that the 2017 annual symposium will be held on Thursday, 25 May 2017 at Protea Hotel By Marroitt OR Tambo in the East Rand.  There will also be an awards cocktail function directly after the symposium closure.

EXHIBITION

Informal exhibition stands will again be available at the symposium this year.  Each exhibitor will be provided with a trestle table, table cloth and two chairs in a 3m x 3m floor space, power point can be arranged on request. 

Exhibition stands will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, with the best positions allocated first.  Note that space is limited so don’t miss out, book your stand today!

Members:  R3200.00

Non-members:  R4400.00

Exhibitors:  R1100 .00

Note:  At least one delegate must register and pay to attend the symposium, further staff members manning the stands only will be charged R1100.00, staff members will not be allowed access to the symposium hall.

You will appreciate that arranging a symposium such as this involves substantial costs, therefore the SAFA will again be calling on its members and supporters to sponsor items at the symposium to assist in making the 2017 symposium an unforgettable experience.

AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE

SAFA invites members to submit nominations for the 2017 Awards of Excellence.  All nominations received will be evaluated and the awards will be presented at the awards cocktail event which will be held directly after symposium closure on Thursday, 25 May 2017.

The South African Flameproof Association is a non-profit body, and is an association of companies involved in explosion prevention/protection techniques of equipment used in hazardous atmospheres in industry and mining.  It comprises almost 200 member companies which include end users and manufacturers, as well as relevant government bodies and equipment testing houses.  The association has branches in Gauteng (Johannesburg), Kwa-Zulu Natal (Durban) and Western Cape (Cape Town).
